Its flagship, Rocksalt, has held 2 AA Rosettes for 12 consecutive years. Just a short walk away in Folkestone Harbour are its sister fish restaurant, Little Rock, and Pilot beach bar. The group also runs a number of highly regarded pubs under The Pickled Egg Pub Company. Executive Group Chef Marcin Szelag, who has been with the group since Rocksalt first opened over 15 years ago, now leads a strong team of talented chefs across all venues, overseeing the operation and delivery of all menus. With a core focus on locally sourced, seasonal produce from trusted local suppliers, Marcin plays a key role in the success of every venue. Rocksalt is a casual fine dining restaurant in Folkestone, serving the best locally sourced, seasonal produce from the Kent Coast and surrounding countryside—with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood. It has held 2 AA Rosettes since opening in 2011 and is cantilevered over Folkestone Harbour, offering stunning panoramic views of the English Channel. The restaurant also features a beautiful bar viaduct and four beautifully restored guest rooms.
- Greet and look after guests
- Understand and communicate the menu and all products available

- Working as part of the team, making a positive contribution to the friendly atmosphere and smooth running of the restaurant
Pay: £12.71-£14.50 per hour
We are currently looking for Runners, Waiters/waitresses and Bar Tenders for our main restaurant, garden and wine bar. You must be well presented and highly motivated. For Bar Tender positions you will ideally have good knowledge of cocktails and the drinks industry gained through working in relevant high-end establishments. You must have a willingness to learn, the ability to remain calm under pressure, have great communication skills and a welcoming smile! - Applicants must be well presented and highly motivated
- Possess superb customer service and communication skills
- High end hospitality experience is preferred but not essential
- Waiting experience and a passion for food is also beneficial as Rocksalt Bar operates its own extremely popular independent food menu from the restaurant downstairs.
