Rocksalt has been awarded many accolades since opening in 2011, not least making it into The Caterer Top 100 Restaurants in the UK, and currently holds 2 AA Rosettes. Rocksalt serves the best in locally sourced, seasonal produce from the South Kent Coast and surrounding Countryside, with a strong leaning towards Fish and Seafood. Rocksalt is also the flagship site within The Rocksalt Group, which includes Little Rock Beach Restaurant, The Wife of Bath and The Pickled Egg Pub Company. We are looking for a hard-working, creative and passionate industry professional with several years high end experience at Head Chef level. You will responsible for the smooth running of a busy 5 day a week kitchen, working alongside the group Executive Chef to create all seasonal menus and with full accountability for the performance of the site. Finally, The Wife of Bath restaurant in Wye, near Ashford; newly opened and serving Northern Spanish inspired dishes, the restaurant also has five beautifully refurbished en-suite rooms.
Have a proven track record in delivering the highest quality dishes in a busy and pressured environment. It will be your responsibility to make sure every dish that leaves the kitchen is of the highest standard. • Be proactive in developing the rest of the kitchen team, inspiring them to progress as chefs within the industry. • Full responsibility for ordering and controlling of stock whilst maintaining the highest health and safety practices throughout the kitchen. • Creative control alongside The Group Executive Chef for all seasonal menus
