CDP & Commis Chefs wanted
Rocksalt Restaurant is looking experienced CDP and Commis Chef's to join the existing team. Rocksalt is a highly rated and well established Restaurant with Cocktail Bar & Guest Rooms, focusing on the best local and seasonal food and drink available to us, wining multiple accolades over the last 10 years. The restaurant currently holds 2 AA Rosette's. Rocksalt and the wider group are currently focusing heavily to improving the work/life balance of employees within the hospitality industry, with 4 day working weeks as standard for new employees, excellent rates of pay and a selection of other fantastic benefits such as joining and retention bonuses, staff discounts across the group, performance bonuses and staff events.

The award winning restaurant rocksalt and the fabulous fish and chip restaurant the smokehouse are both in folkestone. there are also four boutique “bolt hole” en-suite rooms to accompany them. A few miles away in the heart of Ickham, near Canterbury, we have the quintessential food-led british pub called The Duke William, which also has four newly refurbished en-suite rooms. Finally, The Wife of Bath restaurant in Wye, near Ashford; newly opened and serving Northern Spanish inspired dishes, the restaurant also has five beautifully refurbished en-suite rooms.
Salary up to £28k (negotiable) per annum plus tronc, pension, joining bonus, retention bonus and staff discounts
We are looking for creative and enthusiastic chefs with a real passion for all things food to help drive the business forwards and build on the excellent reputation that it already holds. This is also an opportunity for excellent career progression as Rocksalt sits as the flagship site within a wider 8 venue group. The ideal candidates will work closely alongside our Head Chef Scott Dineen in the general running of the kitchen. We would expect the ideal candidate to uphold the highest standards of cooking and food presentation, ensuring that every plate that reaches the customer is of the highest quality, while being proactive in working as a team and showing a desire to learn.
